OUR PASTORS

DR. ALLAN & MARY STOCKTON

On May 7, 2007; Pastor Al, as he is affectionately called and his wife Mary gathered for bible Study.  The pastors being led by the Spirit to start a new work for the Lord, initially thought they would conduct Bible Studies until there was enough members to start a church.

This initial study was blessed with seventy-five (75) participants and the rest is history.  The church was launched in the ballroom of the Ambassador Hotel, located in downtown Fort Myers, Florida. The first formal worship service was held on May 27, 2007.

New Image Tabernacle is a nontraditional, nondenominational Christian ministry; whose goal and purpose is to “Mirror the Image of Christ.”

Since its inception, New Image’s desire has been to impact the lives of the unsaved and unchurched.

SALVATION

“If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.   ~ Romans 10:9-10 NIV

We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ: His death, burial, and resurrection. Salvation is a gift from God, not a result of our good works or of any human efforts. Salvation is one of the greatest decisions, if not the greatest decision, that you’ll ever make in your life. It’s such a powerful thing to know that the God of all eternity, who knew you in your mother’s womb, loves you enough to have provided a reconciled relationshipbetween you and Him, and provided you unhindered access to Him at any time.

If this is your step, we want to celebrate it with you! If you have made a decision to accept Christ,  please email us at: newimagetabernacle@hotmail.com

BAPTISM

What Is Baptism?

Baptism is an outward expression of an inward change. It’s a public declaration of how Jesus changed your life. Being baptized shows others that you’ve decided to follow Jesus, and allows them to celebrate this decision with you.  (Acts 16:31-34)

Baptism doesn’t save a person; it’s a symbol and celebration of salvation  (1 Peter 3:21).

The power that brought Jesus back to life is the same power Jesus uses to change our lives – and that’s worth getting excited about!

Why Should I Be Baptized?

Why does baptism matter? Jesus instructs us to be baptized and set the example by being baptized   (Matthew 28:19-20Mark 1:9)

Obedience to Jesus shows we believe and follow Him.  (1 John 2:3)

Because Jesus went public about His love for us, we can go public about our love for Him. Being baptized shows that we turn away from a life of sin toward Jesus, the only one who can change us.   (Acts 2:38-41)
